At Abingdon RDA, you can get involved in a variety of meaningful activities that support people with disabilities. Every experience is designed to make a positive impact.

Abingdon RDA was established in 1975 with the goal of providing therapeutic riding for people with disabilities. As we approach our 50th anniversary next year, we’re excited to celebrate this milestone with a series of fundraising activities.
These events will not only honour our past achievements but also support our ongoing mission, ensuring that we can continue making a positive impact for the next 50 years. Stay tuned for ways to join the celebration and contribute to our future!

“We strive to ensure that anyone with a disability can benefit from the unique bond between humans and horses.”
Our dedicated trustees play essential roles in ensuring the smooth operation and success of Abingdon RDA. They manage various aspects of the charity, including health and safety, grants, administration, finances, safeguarding, and web management. Their collective expertise and commitment guide our organization and support our mission effectively.

Iris brings extensive experience to her role and works weekday mornings and evenings. In addition to managing the yard, Iris coaches our more experienced riders and provides valuable advice to both instructors and volunteers. Her expertise is a crucial part of our team's success.
Sarah has lots of experience and works afternoons and Saturday mornings. Sarah schools our horses and ponies and often takes them out on a hack for a change of scenery.

Our horses and ponies each have unique personalities and are thoughtfully matched with our riders based on their individual needs and preferences.
